This question is yet another that is causing controversy, especially here in America. LaJolla Institute for Immunology tells us that “1 in 3 deaths in the world is caused by infectious disease.” The Immunization Action Coalition (IAC) states that “when disease germs enter your body, they start to reproduce. … Your immune system … [makes] antibodies. They may not act fast enough to prevent you from becoming sick, but by eliminating the attacking germs, antibodies help you to get well. … Vaccines … help you develop immunity without getting sick first.” Sounds good, right? Well, some people are having some major problems with this thought process and other fallout from getting vaccinations.
What is It?
We know that we are required to get vaccinations as young children, sometimes even prenatally. The thought is that it keeps us from getting ill with diseases that have historically caused many problems for many people across the world, such as Ebola or polio, resulting often in death or temporary or permanent injury or debilitation. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) state that “vaccines contain the same germs that cause disease. … But they have been either killed or weakened to the point that they don’t make you sick. Some vaccines contain only a part of the disease germ.” The IAC also states that vaccines remain in your body so that if you are exposed to the disease, you will already have protection. The only questions are, is it really working in this fashion and are there other adverse effects?
What it Looks Like?
The children’s Health Defense tells us that policymakers are promoting the legal enforcement of vaccination policies without any exceptions. Health Freedom Ohio states that in the state of Ohio, there are 3 vaccination exemptions allowed under law: “medical and reasons of conscience, including religious convictions.” A review of law has been underway due to recent rulings against exemptions.
Some known, more immediate reactions or side effects to getting vaccinated, according to vaccines.gov are “pain, swelling, or redness where the shot was given, mild fever, chills, feeling tired, headache, and muscle and joint aches.” Although they claim there is no link to autism, the Children’s Health Defense states that there is “overwhelming scientific evidence linking mercury containing vaccines to the epidemic of neurodevelopmental diseases, including autism.” Mercury is one of the most toxic substances to humans.
In spite of how healthy vaccinations are touted to be, according to the Children’s Health Defense Team, “the narrative that vaccines are keeping children healthy is rapidly crumbling. Rates of chronic and autoimmune illness in American children have climbed to obscene levels (54% at last count), concurrently with rising vaccination rates--while U.S. life expectancy is falling.” They claim that vaccinations “re-engineer children’s immune systems; rather than entering adulthood in robust health, many children are paying the piper via some form of immune dysfunction at some point down the road.” So, practitioners and researchers, such as Thomas Cowan, MD, are demonstrating the correlation between vaccinations and autoimmune disease, or immunologic dysregulation, such as cancer. In fact, the Children’s Health Defense Team states that getting the childhood disease instead of vaccinating against it can give immunity to conditions like ovarian cancer, other non-breast cancers like melanoma, Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and measles particularly protected against non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Also, they state that “children who successfully go through measles…have less heart disease, arthritis, allergies, autoimmune diseases, and overall better health than those who never get measles.”
Healthy Holistic Lifestyles in lieu of Vaccinating
So, how do we create robust health in ourselves and especially our kids and teens? A person with robust health is also experiencing a strong, healthy immune system. One way is through supplementation. For example, a good protocol to follow for viral protection, according to the Riordan Clinic, is Vitamin C, Vitamin D3, Magnesium, Zinc, and Selenium. Other reliable sources tell us that low-sugar fruits like lemons and berries are great at providing antioxidants, which strongly support the immune system. Limiting sugar and grain intake – or even better – eliminating it, reduces inflammation, which is lowering your immune response. Try to get at least 8 hours of good quality sleep per night, as this also strengthens your immune system. Green tea is an antioxidant and has anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties. Ginger, another strong antioxidant, detoxes the body, while fighting inflammation and infection. Garlic and onions are also immune boosters. Bone broth is a rich source of minerals and amino acids, and elderberry is known for raising the immune response. Exercise – at least get some steps in – every day! Forget about the overly processed foods, like conventional mac and cheese. Eating fresh produce, including broccoli, berries, cherries, citrus fruits, peppers, green leafy veggies, etc. will not only taste great, but will all boost your healthy gut bacteria, which houses 2/3 of your immune system. Turmeric is a known inflammation reducer.
