Plants are a well-known way to boost your mood and elevate your home's look, and they're also good for your physical health. However, not many people know how to choose the right plant to provide specific benefits. Not to worry! I've done the research and pinpointed the top three plants you should invite into your space. I will caution you that if you have pets, please do additional research to know which ones could be toxic to them.
Plants reduce stress, so they'll improve your life at work as well as at home. They create a sense of overall well-being, and some studies have shown that students do better in school when plants are in their environment.
Plants also help clean the air we breathe by reducing carbon dioxide, benzene, and nitrogen dioxide (pollutants), increase humidity (office buildings especially can be dry), reduce dust in the air, help to lessen noise from neighboring highways, and can assist in deflecting background noise. Plants can even help support healing at hospitals (check your hospital’s policy first).
